WELCOME TO KACEY'S CORNER!
This poem is true. I was inspired to write it after visiting a little Community Church where the congregation is free to wear jeans and drink coffee which is even provided in the lobby.
Not once did I even think of questioning the genuine love of God around all this casual atmosphere. Most of the people were younger- Kids sat happily with their snacks.

The Little Community Church
I had not been to Church for awhile and my daughter was feeling down She had seen an ad on the internet about a little Church in town
She asked if I would go with her and I went most willingly Being used to larger Churches I would be shocked at what I'd see
People strolled in with their coffee cups some in t-shirts and jeans There was a band, energetic and dedicated so I could see the attraction for teens
While the young singers sang of their love of God The words flashed on a screen Soon we all were in the spirit -it was a joyful, happy scene
The minister soon took his place on stage in black shirt and jeans He was young and dedicated -his appearance fresh and clean
He read some Bible verses and flashed them on the screen. Seeing them there was more effective for me -a large scale "look at me" scene.
He spoke of marriage commitment -and how the home must be ruled by God Young folks listened intently I saw no sleepy nods
There were no hymnals, not many Bibles but there seemed to be no need I felt God's presence all around and I felt my mind was freed from negative thoughts and constant worry that had been with me for days and I thought to myself, in this stark little Church "God does work in mysterious ways".
