There's a place where I go when my spirits are down and the day seems weary and long,
There's a meadow sunny and oh so serene and the waterfall hums a sweet song.
I feel God's presence all around me here where the wildflowers in beauty bloom
Where the gentle deer moves with a cautious step
and joy overshadows my gloom
How could I now be depressed and sad How could I not sing with the birds when God holds the songbook in front of my eyes and He sings with me every word.
When the sound of our voices echoes through the hills
among rocks with lovely moss green ~through the wildflowers growing everywhere ~such a sight I never have seen

I will return to this place when I'm in need of solace when I feel pain or sorrow and woe and gaze at the water spilling over the hill into clear crystal pools below.
I will thank God for what he has given and reflect on what's right in my life I will run with the deer and smell the sweet flowers and forget about worry and strife.

I will smile at my neighbor and laugh with my kids this beautiful place I will treasure It was created for me by God's owns hands and it gives me unending pleasure.
I will try to appreciate each day of my life
and I'll not dwell on my own self so much When I visit the meadow, I'll not be in pain but glory in each flower that I touch.
The waterfall will flow and the deer will romp gaily and the moss on the rocks will still be and I'll sing with Him at the top of my voice as the echo comes back to me.

If you look, you'll find it, that meadow green and perhaps a waterfall too Gaze at the beauty and talk to the deer ~~hear God's voice calling to you.
Forget about sorrow, enjoy the moment and just think of days long gone by When life was so simple with love everywhere and streams were as clear as the sky.
Go back to your world with a feeling of peace ~and a glorious feeling inside Make your heart a place of green meadows where tranquility and God's love abide.
Let others see the goodness in you Let them see how hard you have tried to vanquish the fear and the unwholesome thoughts Show them your softer side.
