There are so many today who are sad and depressed
~who find life is hard and whose minds cannot rest
Who find that just living is really a chore
~who need to be comforted but don't know what for
Anxiety ridden and in so much pain
Looking for answers-but looking in vain
A few words of comfort would mean so much
~a comforting word and a soft, gentle touch
Maybe a neighbor has suffered a loss
and is trying to bear a burdensome cross
Do you think just a word or two
a difference might make
~possibly make this burden much easier to take?
What can you lose by helping another
a stranger perhaps-a sister or brother?
A few calming words or a laugh you could share
~anything to show that you do really care
So take a minute today to ease someone's pain
It won't cost a thing-and there's so much to gain
God is watching you-don't doubt for a minute
~that when His book of the chosen is revealed
~Rest assured your name will be in it.
