The winds of war are blowing strong scattering dreams in the dust somewhere a young man fights for his life ~it's do or die, he must!
Back home, we take each day for granted far from the war's dismal plain we live, we love, we laugh sometimes ~when so much of the time, we're in pain
Be still, the white dove flies.
In the city, there's a shooting and one more child is gone with heartbroken, devastated family left to carry on
All around us there's violence and such unnecessary hate How can we save our children Better hurry, it's getting late!
But still, the white dove flies.
The white dove of peace forever flies Never tiring, never afraid spreading it's great wings over all the world In an attempt to stop all the hate.
In it's eyes, a pleading, this symbol of peace with it's massive wings unfurled. wondering how man can be so foolish that he shatters his own little world.
The troubled times lead us to believe There's not much reason to hope While stocking our shelves with "terror supplies" Do we think we're able to cope?
A new day has dawned and no longer secure ~we look for answers but no one is sure
No one seems able to look beyond today There's fear in our hearts~Are we now to pay for all the years of being free~ Is it time to face reality?
Look up to God~then you will know He will take all your worrying and you can let go. When there is nothing to ease your troubled mind Choose the loving God and you will find things are not as bad as you perceived Choose the One Being you can believe.
How He suffered to save our souls! So when the storms clouds gather and the thunder rolls Get on your knees and lift up your eyes Let your fear soar right up to the skies God is waiting to take all your pain He died for you-don't let it be in vain.
The white dove will forever fly!
