MARCH 19, 2005

Taryn was playing soccer with her team
and was hit in the face with the ball.
She was diagnosed with a bad concussion and sent home.

She seemed to be fine for a long time.
Some time after that she started having bad headaches and fainting spells again.
The headaches were so severe
her parents took her to
John Hopkin's Hospital in Baltimore, MD-one of the best.

She had numerous tests--including an MRI that confirmed Chiari.
(click on Chiari and find out about it)
Since these "spells" were coming often, and disrupting her life
~the Neurosurgeon advised surgery.
The surgery went well-Taryn is a trouper!
We thought that would be the end of it.
As you will read, there have been problems.

Taryn is a fine young lady
She is always there for her friends
and makes it a point to welcome newcomers to school

I am asking for your prayers for Taryn
My internet friends have started prayer wheels
and I am getting emails of encouragement from so many.

Taryn is upbeat always
She is a very special young lady.
