an individual and are not tax-deductible.

The following is the letter sent to me by the twins Aunt Terra.
I think it speaks for itself.
These little babies are beautiful and deserve
to start their lives with happy parents who
are not suffocated with hospital bills
If any of you would please donate a little toward helping them
it would be so much appreciated.
Only a few dollars will go a long way if enough donate.
As you know, I have been creating websites since 1997
and have NEVER asked for donations for anything.
This story of a friend of my Granddaughter has touched my heart.
God bless you if you can see your way to help
these lovely young people and their babies.
Please keep them in your prayers.
Thank you so much..I hope I can depend on you.

The Letter
Dear Anne--
I have attached some pictures of the twins, Isaac & Skylar.
There will be another email to follow with additional pictures.
I didn't know which to pick, so I thought
I would let you decide since I am not too familiar with
creating sites, and what pics will work for it.
I really appreciate your help in this.
It has been a really tough couple of months.
The story starts at 15.
My sister Elishha and her (now) husband
meet in high school at Sherando.
After many years together
they finally wed on May 10th, 2003.
For 5 years they tried unsuccessfully to get pregnant.
One heartbreak after another.
Doctor's told her she would never have children.
I remember all the news from
friends/family members announcing their pregnancies over the years,
and constantly having to console my sister.
Not that she wasn't happy for anyone-
just the constant questions, why cant I have children?
What have I done wrong?
I remember having a conversation with my sister
a few months before Christmas 08,
she said she had asked God to let her
announce a pregnancy for Christmas.
And sure enough God answered that prayer.
At our usual Christmas eve at mom's,
my sister arrives and she seemed quite anxious.
I know my sister very well, and knew something was going on.
She rushed in and said hello, and b-lined to the bathroom.
About 5 minutes later, the door creaked
and she said "Terra, can you come in here"-
as I walked in she had a child like grin on her face
and I knew at that moment what she was
hiding behind her back.
She slowly brought her hands to the front of her,
revealing the positive pregnancy test.
We immediatley hugged and cried, and both just stood there completely in shock.

I escorted my sister to her first Dr's appointment-TWINS!
I dont know who was more shocked, us or the Doctors.
Things continued wonderfully.
She was gaining weight and everything
seemed to be happening as it should.
I was so thankful, I truly never thought
I would see the day where my sister had children.
Everything was going great until Friday May 8th.
when I went to another apt with my sister.
She had been very uncomfortable that week.
Still working, the swelling in her legs was almost unbearable.
She told me before we went in that she knew
she would not be able to go back to work,
they are going to put her on bed rest-She just know it.
Once in the room, the ultrasound tech looks troubled,
and gets Dr. McCoy, the high risk pregnancy Dr.
She comes in and examines my sister,
and asks the nurse who the on call Dr is.
We knew something wasn't right.
Dr McCoy leaves the room and is back
in just a few moments, telling us we are leaving to go straight to the hospital.
Elishha is now 3cm dilated, and could go into labor at any moment.
You can imagine all the fears at this point.
I drove my sister to the hospital, both of us crying
- making calls to her husband and our parents.
We arrived and they admitted her.
-Afraid she will go into labor.
After hours of debating what to do
WMC (our local hospital) decides that if she were to have the babies,
they are too small for the NIC U there.
They finally decide to send her to John Hopkins in Baltimore, MD.(via airlift.)

For 18 days my sister laid upside down,
using Trendelenberg (the body is laid flat on the back with the feet
higher than the head)
to prolong the delivery.
On May 25th they medivaced her back to WMC,
and 5 days later at 26 weeks and 1 day
my sister delivered my niece and nephew by emergency c-section.
Skylar weighed 2.2 lbs and was 13 inches long,
and Isaac weighed 2.7 lbs and was 15.5 inches long.
My sister and her husband have been waiting for this
for a very long time, and due to his company
- who canceled their insurance (the company couldnt pay the premium)
they now have over $400,000 in medical bills.
I want to use this site to be able to accept prayers,
donations, anything that can help them.
Whether it be inspiration, prayers, money whatever.
They have just waited so long for this,
and I want to do anything I can to allow them peace of mind
when those children finally are able to come home.
They have been through so much,
I just want them to be able to provide for their children.
My sister had been denied medicaid twice,
as well as WIC--Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children.
She keeps applying.
So that is the story, there of course are alot more details,
but I just wanted you to know this is why
I feel the need to create a site for those babies.
I love them so much, I've only seen them twice.
Thank you so much in advance.
If there is additional info you need, I am happy to provide it.
Thank you again
Terra
