What's Wrong With This Picture???

My oldest drives a Toyota
A big Sequoia, no less!
My youngest drives a Lexus
so would you ever guess?
that Mama drives a Civic
With no CD or cassette
Now, in the line of Civics
That's as cheap as you can get!
The eldest has a mansion
and the others brand new homes
I'm moving to a townhouse
and expect never more to roam!
I've never had a pedicure
Although I must admit
I get my hair and nails done
and I really think I deserve it!
The grandkids have their telephones~~
CD players and such
Video games, and TVs in every room
But I'm not jealous--not much!
They have call waiting, caller ID~~
and "who shot John"
on their telephones
All I do is dial a number
And I leave the rest alone!
I've never been to Europe
with the wealthy I don't hob-nob!
To get me on a plane these days
Would be a real hard job!
Our eldest presented us with a cruise
for our anniversary
I'm already shakin' in my boots
Cuz sailing frightens me
When grandkids come, I give them money
from my small account!
That leaves only a few bucks here and there
because it's such a small amount.
I go from penny to penny these days~~
always so short of money
but once a month for a week or so
I'm so well set it's funny!
I have a piggy bank that's really a pig
where I deposit all my change
when the pig gets heavy, I lighten his load
and the wrappers I arrange
I save coupons and even "baggies"
Just wash those in the sink!
It saves me money-they're good as new
That's using your head, I think!
Dinner out is once a week
Just to a little place
With the same cooking I do everyday
But it gives me needed space
Occasionally, I frequent the better places
if I have a blues day
Like Wendys, Mickey Dee's or
if I have extra money, Ruby Tuesday!
I live in jeans and shorts and sneakers
but cruise time is a'comin!
So I bought some "fancy duds" for me
They aren't gonna catch me slummin'!
I'm gonna move into my house
and it's really gonna shine!
I may not drive expensive cars
But you'll never see me whine!
I raised my kids to be successes
And successes they all are
I don't mind the luxuries they possess
I really love my car! (Really!) **G**
I get my gratification when
the grandkids come to visit
we play bingo and watch rented movies
and stay up late--not so bad, is it?
While I have the kids, the Moms
are treating themselves to a spa
So we cuddle up real close
in that little Civic car
We go downtown in jeans and sneakers
eat hamburgers at Snow White Grill
It may not be luxury and fluff
but to us it fits the bill!
The Lord gave me food and clothes
and shelter from the rain
That's all I need, I'm telling you
I'd do it all again.
So drive your fancy cars and such
And flash your diamond rings
I'm happy as a clam, you see
I don't really need those things
Now, if someone wants to send me cash
What have you got to lose???
I'm gonna play those "one armed bandits"
on this Caribbean cruise!
